China Crisis in Meols Park
The Legendary Eighties Band China Crisis made a guest appearance at our Celebration Day Event on Sunday. It was a “best kept secret” and they wowed the crowd with their musical flair sprinkled with humour. Gary Daly said “He felt like the Vicar of Dibley, but that he would draw the line at judging the bonnie baby competition. The event was a celebration of the new park play area that we have worked so hard to raise funds for.

New Seating Area Being Prepared

An additional seating area is being installed at Meols Park. The seats are to be half mooned in shape and the wooden pillars around the area are a form of windbreak. There is going to be some bush and shrub planting around the perimeter and the round circle area on the floor is where we are planning to have a Mosaic done. More about that later, as we need to get some more funds raised.

Am down at Wembley for the FA Cup Final and I get a phone call to say that the contractors had put in an extra shift today, Fair play to them. They were laying down a fair amount of stone hardcore on the pathways in preparation for a scratch coat of tarmac which is due next week. Unfortunately Everton didn’t do the business at Wembley but at least they got there.
