Mini Orchard Planted in Meols Park
The Mini Orchard of some 30 Apple,Pear and Plum Trees that were planted with the help of Sally and Rose from of the local community group ‘Incredible Edible Hoylake’ and Park Friends, are coming along very nicely….. Thanks must go to all those who helped to plant them and also for the free refreshments provided. Can’t wait till its time to go Scrumping……
Meols Big Jubilee Lunch – 3rd June
The Community of Meols are holding a Big Jubilee Lunch to celebrate the Queen’s 60th on Sunday 3rd June 2012 from 2pm – 5.30pm. Fun For All The Family, All are Welcome. The Event is FREE and is being organised by St Johns Church along with The Friends of Meols Park and St Andrews URC of Meols. It’s being held on the Green in front of St John’s Church on Birkenhead Road, Meols. There will be Food, Fun, Face Painting , Music, Messy Church Activities and a special (not to be missed) family performance by Stuffets Puppets. Please come and join us on the day and if you could bring a plate of buffet type food to add to what we already have, then this would be warmly appreciated.
Sparks In Meols Park on 6th Nov 2011
Our 3rd Annual Sparks In The Park Event was a great success and Once Again the weather was fantastic…..Clear Blue Skies throughout the Day which made for great conditions at dark for our Firework Display. The Display was I must say tremendous and the amount of fantastic feedback from attendees has been immense. There were plenty of ooh’s and aah’s as soon as Rev Gillian Rossiter from St Johns Church in Meols, pressed down the VIP Plunger to start off the show. Great fun was had by all during the day and the night, enjoying the family funfair and of course the Pumpkin Soup provided by Incredible Edible Hoylake together with Rachel’s special Meols Mulled Wine. Infusion Enterprise from the Girls Birkenhead Academy School were also in attendance with a self fund raising stall. Roll on Next Year…….

The Friends of Meols Park Proudly Present their 3rd Annual ‘Fun & Fireworks Event’ in Meols Park, Meols, Wirral
Fun starts at 12 noon with Family Fairground Rides,Side stalls, Hot & Cold Refreshments and of course Meols Mulled Wine.
Incredible Edible Hoylake will be Serving Out Pumpkin Soup (until stocks last)
There will also be a fundraising stall run by ‘Infusion Enterprise’ who are a Young Enterprise team studying at Birkenhead High School Academy Sixth form, Young Enterprise means that they create their own business, enabling them to gain future skills which will be useful in the workplace.
Firework Display will be approx 6pm to 6.30pm (depending on weather conditions)
Rev Gillian Rossiter of St Johns Church in Meols will be activating The Firework Display by pressing The VIP Plunger……
The Firework Display has been Funded by The Friends of Meols Park Community Group and is Free But Donations Would Be Welcomed.
80’s Idol Toyah Visits Meols Park
Another Celebrity visits Meols Park. There has been Andy from OMD, China Crisis, Esther Mcvey MP, Mayor of Wirral and Mayor of Sefton and now it’s Toyah Willcox who took time out to visit, from her Gig at Jack Rabbit Slims in Hoylake on 23rd October 2011 “Toyah said we had done a Fantastic Job in saving the Play Area” Thanks Toyah
Meols Park Mosaic Project 2011
Our Mosaic Project is underway and all the segments have been completed in 5 days. We have had scores of children involved in the project, by running workshops at Meols Park Bowls Pavilion,Great Meols Primary School and St Johns Church Hall on from 27th Sept – 2ndOct 2011. The segments are presently on display in St Johns Church, Meols whilst we await installation in the Park Play Area. The Project was funded mainly by a grant from Wirral Council plus donations,from Parks & Leisure, Regal Fish & Chips and Smarties Play Group in Meols together with money funded by Liverpool Echo’s ‘Wish Award Scheme’ and events run by the Friends of Meols Park
